Durban - Two armed robbers have been killed in a shoot-out at Durban's Gateway mall. Police spokesperson Thulani Zwane says they were apparently part of a gang that attempted to rob an SBV Services cash-in-transit van at the shopping complex. It is not immediately known how many robbers were involved and whether any cash was stolen from the van. One of the security guards was struck with a hammer, while the other was shot in the leg. Netcare 911 spokesperson Chris Botha says the two guards were taken to Umhlanga Hospital in a serious condition.
