Two arrested in connection with top cop's murder─── 11:57 Sat, 29 Jun 2013

Pretoria - Two people appeared in court in connection with the murder of top cop Tirhani Maswanganyi, the Saturday Star has reported.
While the case was postponed in the Pretoria North Magistrate's Court on Thursday, more arrests were said to follow, the newspaper reported.
Maswanganyi was found dead eleven days ago in a field near Hammanskraal, north of Pretoria, with his hands and feet tied.
A police patrol found Maswanganyi's abandoned Isuzu bakkie next to the R101. A police uniform and police identification card were in the bakkie, which prompted a search.
A post-mortem had since been conducted but the report would only be made public during the trial.
Meanwhile, police minister Nathi Mthethwa vowed on Thursday, the day of Maswanganyi's funeral, to do everything possible to get to the bottom of the "cowardly" killing.
A reward of R100,000 has been offered and parliament's portfolio committee on police has called on anyone with information which could lead to an arrest.
