Potchefstroom - The ex-wife of singer Zirk Bergh, who was shot along with two other people allegedly by the singer in Potchefstroom on Saturday, has died of her injuries.
Nicolette du Randt was shot in the head outside the offices of the Suid-Afrikaanse Vrouefederasie, where she was due to meet Bergh with their 8-year old daughter.
Du Randt's current husband, Charl, and social worker Deon Kondos were killed in the accident.
Bergh then committed suicide. He left a suicide note in which he stated that Nicolette had denied him access to his daughter.
Police said Bergh had an appointment to meet his daughter on Saturday morning.
When Nicolette, Charl and the daughter arrived at around 8am, Bergh pulled out a gun and instructed his daughter to run inside the offices.
All three victims sustained head wounds.
