Pretoria - Legal expert, Sebar Jazbay, says it was foolish for Oscar Pistorius' legal team to approach Judge Thokozile Masipa.
This comes after Pistorius lost a court bid to prevent the State from appealing his culpable homicide conviction.
Judge Masipa said to entertain the application would be tantamount to reviewing her own decision.
The Paralympian's lawyers wanted to appeal Masipa's decision granting the State leave to appeal his conviction for the culpable homicide of Reeva Steenkamp in the Supreme Court of Appeal.
Jazbay says Pistorius' lawyers had many options.
