Pretoria - Efficient Group chief economist, Dawie Roodt, is in good spirits at Netcare Pretoria East Hospital and can’t wait to return home to his family.
His personal assistant, Erika Botha, says a second operation yesterday to repair nerve damage went well. A plastic surgeon operated on Roodt to repair damaged muscles and ligaments in his arm.
Roodt and his wife, daughter and twin daughters were attacked in their home by four armed men last Thursday night. He was stabbed with a knife in the arm and head. His family were physically unharmed.
Botha says Roodt hopes to be released from hospital by the end of the week.
Meanwhile police spokesperson, Marissa van der Merwe says no arrests have been made yet. She says police are investigating a case of house robbery.
