Circular economy 'could be solution to youth unemployment'─── THANDI XABA 12:40 Fri, 30 Oct 2015

Bloemfontein - Youth unemployment in the country is worse than that experienced in many other emerging markets.
According to the Institute of Race Relations' Mienke Steytler, circular economy, or the process of collecting, transporting, and recycling waste, could generate hundreds of thousands of sustainable jobs and viable small businesses.
Meanwhile, the Recycling and Economic Development Initiative of South Africa's Hermann Erdmann says in under three years they have developed a circular economy within the tyre industry and have seen tangible results with over 2 000 new jobs, and over 200 SMMEs developed and supported.
