Bloemfontein - The Helen Suzman Foundation, Section27, and Save South Africa have jointly requested Bell Pottinger for access to all information regarding the work it had undertaken over the past year for Oakbay.

Helen Suzman Foundation’s Anton van Dalsen says the aim of joining hands on this matter is to ensure that the international law firm that has been commissioned to review the work done by the company has all the background knowledge on how the company, in its work, has caused damage in South Africa.

Van Dalsen says the joint organisations are concerned that the impact of Bell Pottinger’s conduct should be viewed in the correct context by Bell Pottinger’s own senior management and by the UK regulatory bodies.

He says they have noted Bell Pottinger’s apology last week and are hopeful that they will soon respond positively to their approach.
