Diepsloot residents are threatening to block the route that Winnie Madikizela-Mandela's funeral procession will take.
They are upset over a stalled project in the area and are demanding that workers be paid.
The struggle icon will be buried on Saturday in Fourways, but her funeral service will be held in Orlando Stadium in Soweto, with thousands expected to attend.
Government will outline the logistics on Friday. Tributes have been pouring from around the globe for the icon.
