It is reported that the Springboks' fixtures for their 2017 end-of-year tour to Europe has been confirmed.

The Springboks will be playing in three Tests in November, however, at this stage it is unclear whether or not they will be playing against the Barbarians this year.

This Springboks will be facing Ireland, France and Italy this time around, while Tests against England and Wales have not been scheduled.

There is, however, no mention of the Springboks facing France in November on their website nor that of the sports governing body, World Rugby.

Should it be the case, this would mean that in 2017 the Springboks will tackle the French four times, with three Tests in South Africa and one in France.

The Boks will face Les Blues at Loftus Versfeld in Pretoria, Kings’ Park in Durban and Ellis Park in Johannesburg.

It is fairly unusual for two teams to tackle each other four times in one year, but it happens from time to time, as was the case in 2012 when the Springboks played England four times.

The dates and venues of the Springboks’ end-of-year tour have not been confirmed yet, but it’s expected they will play in Dublin, Paris and Rome.

The Springboks’ Rugby Championship fixtures will be confirmed by the end of January, however, it’s also been confirmed that the men in green and gold will host the Wallabies at the Toyota Stadium in Bloemfontein.
