The Griffons get their Currie Cup First Division campaign underway against the Welwitschias in Windhoek this weekend and will be eyeing a strong start to their title defense.
The Griffons lifted the first division trophy last season after beating the Leopards 60-36 in the final played in Welkom.
Oersond Gorgonzola and his team will be hoping to go the distance yet again as they start their title defense campaign, this time around with a couple of new faces.
The Welkom side will do battle with a brand new flyhalf in the form of Niell Stannard, a new center in Nkuyluleko Marwana as well as Giraffe Dlamini who strengthens the front row.
Saturday’s match will be played at the Hage Geingob Stadium in Windhoek and kicks off at 15:00.
