The second Webb Ellis Cup trophy tour will start later in the week, and the first stop will be the Eastern Cape, however, a visit to Bloemfontein and Welkom will also be on the cards.

The trophy toured South Africa last year after the Springboks won the Rugby World Cup for the record-equalling third time.

There was outrage in Central South Africa after the Springboks and the trophy made stops in Gauteng, Kwa-Zulu Natal, the Eastern and Western Cape, however, no visit was scheduled for the Free State, a province with a rich rugby tradition known for produced numerous players and coaches which represented South Africa at the highest level.

Wednesday and Thursday, the Webb Ellis Cup will make a turn in Grahamstown and Port Elizabeth in the Eastern Cape, and the Springbok captain, Siya Kolisi, will lead the delegation that will accompany the trophy.

According to SA Rugby, the trophy will visit Bloemfontein and Welkom, however, no date has been confirmed as yet.

Members of the public will be able to meet the World Cup heroes and view the biggest prize in world rugby.
