Gupta-owned newspaper asked R1m for breakfast─── 06:13 Wed, 30 Oct 2019
A million rand for breakfast.
That's what Gupta-owned newspaper, The New Age, asked from Eskom.
Pieter Pretorius, Eskom's acting general manager of strategic marketing and branding, told the state capture commission on Tuesday.
The R1 million was to sponsor the newspaper's business breakfast series.
“It was proposed that Eskom would sponsor the breakfast initially for R1 million a breakfast.”
Pretorius was giving evidence related to TNA.
