Cosatu proposes Eskom recovery plan─── 07:06 Fri, 20 Dec 2019
Trade union federation Cosatu has tabled a plan to save Eskom, involving a multi-billion investment from the government into the utility.
Cosatu has suggested the Public Investment Corporation invests billions in Eskom and stated its affiliated unions are in agreement with the plan.
Cosatu's parliamentary coordinator, Matthew Parks said, "Eskom is not just any state-owned enterprise in the country.
"It's the most important single SOE we have. If it collapses, 12 million jobs in South Africa will be at risk," he said.
