These statistics are expected to be at an all-time low due to the national lockdown.

Mbalula joined traffic law enforcement operations this past long weekend to enforce lockdown regulations.

The Easter Holiday is always deemed to be one of the holidays that contribute to accidents and the loss of hundreds of lives on national roads. 

The figures are, however, expected to be much lower since South Africans spend their weekend in lockdown. 

The minister’s office says he will be releasing information regarding the operations related to compliance with lockdown regulations and compliance during the Easter Weekend.
