Public Enterprises Minister Pravin Gordhan has placed a moratorium on the retrenchment agreements of South African Airways employees.
The National Union of Metalworkers of South Africa and the SA Cabin Crew Association threatened to take the Business Rescue Practitioners to court.
This after they tabled a proposal to terminate the entire SAA workforce.
In a statement, Gordhan says the moratorium on the signing of retrenchment agreements will be in effect until the first of May.
