MediPrice was created by software developer, Michael Lukusa.

Lukusa says he wants to make sure consumers are not overcharged for medicines, especially at a time like this.

"The app allows people to look up medicine prices. You type the name of the medicine online and then it’s going to pop up a couple of choices and then you’ll find the medicine name."

He says this is an app that can also be used by doctors.

“Through the search, you will be able to do an ingredients-based search, where you’ll find the active ingredient in the medicine. From there, doctors can give medicine with an affordable price. Finding generic medicine and giving them to people," he added.

Michael believes his app provides consumers with the perfect means to be able to guard against any potential price gouging during this pandemic.
