#Coronavirus: Denosa questions KZN hospitals' re-opening─── 06:49 Mon, 11 May 2020
Nursing union Denosa has questioned how two KwaZulu-Natal Netcare hospitals, where staff and patients tested positive for Covid-19 in April, have been allowed to reopen.
The KZN health department has given St Augustine's Hospital in Durban and Kingsway Hospital in Amanzimtoti the green light to admit new patients.
At least four people died due to a coronavirus outbreak at St Augustine's Hospital, while 47 staff members tested positive for the virus.
Netcare Kingsway Hospital was closed after some staff members tested positive for Covid-19, after exposure at the hospital was traced to a patient.
Denosa says it's worrying that there are still no answers regarding what happened at these hospitals.
Spokesperson Mandla Shabangu says despite calls to provincial government - they have yet to indicate the presence of a report into the facilities.
