The Executive Mayor of the Rustenburg Municipality, Mpho Khunou, has meanwhile wished speedy recovery to those infected.

To the MMC’s and officials of the Municipality - we wish them strength during this time, as they adjust to their new reality. We wish them a speedy recovery, with the full hope of returning to good health. We will continue to ensure that we offer them the necessary support throughout this process,” said Khunou.
