Unemployment Insurance Fund commissioner Teboho Maruping says they are concerned that some companies are applying for relief funds while they are fully functioning during the lockdown.
Maruping says that some companies applied for people that have either been dismissed from work, are on maternity leave, or are deceased.
The commissioner says some of the companies will be investigated.
"We have companies that have applied and during the lockdown, they were actually functioning and have their employees working," Maruping said.
