This, as the Minister of Employment and Labour, Thulas Nxesi, was admitted to hospital last night after Minister of Mineral Resources, Gwede Mantashe.

According to cabinet spokesperson, Phumla Williams, Nxesi tested positive for the coronavirus almost a week ago and has, until last night, been in self-quarantine at home.

Williams says Nxesi's admission to hospital comes after his doctors advised for him to do so, in order for him to have access to better medical attention and proper monitoring.
