The alcohol ban continues to affect livelihoods, and ahead of Women’s Day, eNCA shifts its focus to taverns owned by women.
More than half of the registered taverns in the country are women-owned and pre-lockdown, the industry generated billions for the economy every year.
Many women opened their establishments to get themselves out of poverty, only to have the ban plunge them right back into it.
