SA records 77 #Covid19 deaths; 89.3% recovery rate─── 08:00 Fri, 25 Sep 2020
The Department of Health on Thursday evening reported a further 77 Covid-related deaths in the latest 24-hour reporting cycle.
Most of the deaths were recorded in Gauteng with 58, while KwaZulu-Natal had 8 fatalities, the Eastern Cape 7 and the Western Cape 4.
This brings the total number of fatalities from Covid-19 complications to 16 283.
South Africa also recorded 1861 new coronavirus cases, bringing the cumulative number of infections in the country to 667 049.
The number of recoveries now stand at 595 916, taking the recovery rate to 89.3%.
