#Covid19: 'SA not experiencing 2nd wave'─── 06:38 Mon, 16 Nov 2020
South Africa isn't experiencing a second wave of Covid-19 infections.
Health Minister Zweli Mkhize has warned though, it all depends on how we manage the situation. After contracting the virus, 35 more people have died, taking the country's death toll to 20 241.
Mkhize held a technical briefing Sunday night, saying they've picked up more than 1 800 new cases, bringing the number of infections identified since the outbreak in March, to over 751 000.
He says the Eastern and Western Capes will be monitored as there's been a spike in cases there.
Mkhize says compared to other countries, South Africa is doing well.
