Health workers to down tools─── 07:55 Thu, 26 Nov 2020
Some healthcare facilities in the country might operate with a skeleton staff on Thursday.
Health workers aligned to Nehawu will embark on a nationwide march over the non-payment of a salary increase.
The union says several frontline workers have not been paid for working overtime during the hard lockdown.
It also wants government to give permanent contracts to community healthcare workers.
Nehawu is handing over its list of demands at 11am and is giving the government an ultimatum of seven days to respond.
