NC police intensify safety operations─── KATLEHO MORAPELA 06:55 Tue, 08 Dec 2020
With the 16 Days of Activism against women and child abuse campaign drawing to an end, the police in the Northern Cape have embarked on a drive to raise more awareness.
Several roadblocks across the province are continuously conducted as part of the police's Safer Festive Season Operations - and to raise awareness against women and child abuse.
Provincial police spokesperson, Mohale Ramatseba, has confirmed the police in the province are following a zero-tolerance approach to crime and urges communities to join hands with them in the fight against crime as the country continues to commemorate the 16 Days of Activism against women and child abuse.
He confirms several community engagement sessions and roadblocks are underway across the province to raise more awareness about road safety, alcohol and drug abuse, gender-based violence and other forms of crimes.
Ramatseba says the police in the province will leave no stone unturned in the fight against crime.
