Arrests follow NC alcohol raid─── KATLEHO MORAPELA 07:00 Fri, 11 Dec 2020
Five suspects arrested for trading in illicit alcohol are expected to appear before the Kimberley Magistrate's Court on Friday.
This, after they were arrested following a police raid on Thursday.
Police spokesperson, Sergio Kock, says the Provincial SAPS Crime Intelligence Unit, Firearm, Liquor and Second Hand Goods (FLASH) and Organised Crime Detective Units followed up on information of alleged illicit dealings in alcohol at eight liquor outlets where the suspects were arrested.
Kock says they conducted the raid with the Migration Services and suspect the alcohol was meant for exporting to other countries.
He, in a statement, highlights that the police confiscated approximately R250 000 worth of liquor and the investigation continues.
