Coronavirus cases in South Africa have surpassed one million cases, the National Department of Health announced on Sunday.
The Department reported 9,502 new cases of COVID-19. The total number is now 1,004,413.
214 people have died of COVID-19 taking the total number of deaths to 26,735.
123 of those deaths were recorded in the Eastern Cape.
