Zuma's appeal against R10m cost order struck off the roll─── 11:47 Thu, 27 May 2021
The Constitutional Court has struck former president Jacob Zuma's bid to appeal a R10-million cost order off the roll on Thursday.
The order was issued after Zuma failed to interdict the release of the then Public Protector Thuli Madonsela's "State of Capture" report.
She had investigated allegations the Gupta family benefited illegally from the state resources. The High Court granted the order in 2017.
Zuma argued the costs order against him was incorrect given that at the time he was acting in his capacity as the president.
