Hundreds of Zimbabweans have been arrested for trying to enter the country illegally at the Beitbridge border post.
This as the festive season draws to a close and people return home.
Thousands cross the border, causing heavy traffic.
Home Affairs Minister Aaron Motsoaledi had been monitoring the cross border movement.
He says a border management authority has been established, and guards would soon be deployed.
