South Africa has recorded 1,228 new Covid-19 infections in the last 24 hours.
Gauteng is leading in terms of new infections with 498 cases.
Mpumalanga is second with over 160 cases.
The positivity rate stands at 7.6% percent.
Eight people have died, taking the death toll to 96,021.
