Eskom has set up a team to deal with recommendations in the state capture report.

It was handed over to a representative of the Presidency on Friday.

Eskom features in two volumes of part four. Zondo recommends legal action against the 2014 Eskom board, to recover losses as a result of their decisions they took.

The utility says a project team, including internal and external lawyers, will study the report. It says action will also be taken against those implicated.

The parastatal says it's already working with the Special Investigating Unit to recover funds siphoned off.

Jacaranda News reported the chairperson of the commission of inquiry into state capture, Raymond Zondo, was expected to release the fourth report on Friday morning.

The report was expected to lay bare the commission’s findings on the looting and mismanagement of State Security Agency (SSA) funds, the crippling of the public broadcaster the SABC, and the infamous landing of guests for a Gupta family wedding at the Waterkloof Air Force Base.

Former Free State premier Ace Magashule is also set to feature in the fourth report.

The report will also cast a spotlight on the Estina dairy farm project and asbestos scandal in the Free State, for which Magashule is currently facing charges of corruption and fraud.

Meanwhile, the release of the fifth and final report is set to be released to President Cyril Ramaphosa by 15 June after Zondo approached the court for another extension.
