#Fuel prices still on track for cut next week─── 16:39 Mon, 29 Aug 2022
In the first week of September, the cost of 95 unleaded petrol is predicted to decrease by about R2.28 per litre.
This is based on the most recent information from the Central Energy Fund. The cost of 93 octane petrol may decrease by about R2.12 per litre. A litre of diesel could be cheaper by more than one rand.
Additionally, the cost of illuminating paraffin is anticipated to decrease by just over a rand per litre.
The price of oil and the rand-to-dollar exchange rate decide how much fuel will cost.
Oil prices fell to $92 a barrel earlier this month after reaching a high of $123 in March following Russia's invasion of Ukraine.
