A woman from Port Alfred in the Eastern Cape was mauled to death by a dog while on her way to work on Sunday morning.
The woman, who was identified as Zimkhitha Gaga, was reportedly walking on Alfred Road when she was attacked, says police spokesperson Priscilla Naidu.
She claims that two males who saw the attack fled to a nearby security office to report it.

Detectives from the local police force are looking for the pets' owner.
The number and type of the dogs are currently unclear, and authorities think the two men who saw the incident can be very helpful in the investigation.
A 38-year-old man, Khayalethu Bulo, was killed in April after being mauled by two rottweilers while commuting to work.
His family has since filed a legal lawsuit.
