This assurance follows the inability of some R350 grant recipients to access their funds on the scheduled payment dates in both November and December.

According to Sassa spokesperson, Moabi Pitsi, during the months of November and December there were certain technical issues that had an impact on payments.

Since those issues have been resolved, Pitsi said, "we can assure our clients that other grants, such as the grant for older persons, the grant for disabilities, and the grant for child support, will be paid from [Tuesday] on the third up to the fifth. From Sassa's side it’s all systems go and we are ready to pay grants."
