After a 49-car pileup on the M41 in Umhlanga, the accused truck driver Sithulile Zulu has was granted bail of R5 000.
Zulu, from KwaZulu-Natal, is accused of driving recklessly and negligently as well as failing to perform his obligations as a driver in the wake of a serious accident.
His parole terms include staying in his Mtubatuba home and refraining from getting in touch with his boss.
His case has been postponed to 8 June to allow for additional research.
