Learners invited to shape their future with scholarship opportunity─── ZENANDE MPAME 12:42 Mon, 26 Jun 2023
Budding entrepreneurs from across the country have been invited to apply for a once-in-a-lifetime scholarship.
The Allan Gray Orbis Foundation’s high school scholarship aims to unlock learners’ potential and leadership qualities and foster their desire to solve the country’s social and economic problems.
The programme provides Grade 6 learners with a chance to shape their life through excellent education at top-achieving partner high schools.
“We identify academic potential and nurture it and develop the child’s leadership skills,” says scholarship selections officer, Litha Mkatini.
Applicants must be in Grade 6 this year and be interested in becoming entrepreneurs or business owners.
They must be 11 or 12 years old and in Grade 6 this year.
Applicants must obtain a minimum overall average of 70% for all subjects in their Grade 5 December report and Grade 6 June report.
The scholarship will provide a programme officer (mentor), tuition, uniform, boarding, monthly allowance, stationary, textbooks, and support for extramural activities.
The application forms are available on the Allan Gray Orbis Foundation website and the closing date is 15 September 2023.
