The opening match of the Premiership is set for the 4th of August and sees the defending champions Mamelodi Sundowns lock horns with Kaizer Chiefs at Loftus Stadium around 15:00.

At 18:00 on the same day, former Wits will be at home against Free State Stars while Cape Town City host SuperSport United at the same time.

PSL newcomers Highlands Park will have a baptism of fire via the might of Orlando Pirates at the Orlando Stadium at 20:15 which also marks kick-off between Amazulu and Baroka FC at the King Zwelithini Stadium to wrap up the opening Saturday of the competition.

Maritzburg United and Golden Arrows get Sunday's action underway at the Harry Gwala Stadium while Bloemfontein Celtic battle it out against Chippa United at Dr Molemela Stadium in Bloemfontein with both matches getting underway at 15:00.

The PSL have also confirmed that the last fixture of the league will be played on 11 May 2019.

This, however, could still change as Ajax Cape Town will on Tuesday hear the fate of their application to the South Gauteng High Court to interdict the start of the season following a drawn-out drama involving the Urban Warriors, Tendai Ndoro and the PSL.
