AmaZulu vs. Marumo to be replayed on Thursday─── MORGAN PIEK 09:03 Thu, 04 Nov 2021

The Premier Soccer League runners-up for last season, AmaZulu, and the bottom-of-the-log Marumo Gallants earned no points on Wednesday night.
The match was abandoned after just 20 minutes due to the kits of the respective teams clashing.
The match was stopped in the 14th minute and Marumo were instructed to change to their away kits, however, the team travelled with only their home kits. This left the officials with no option but to call off the game.
The PSL has confirmed that has been rescheduled for this afternoon.
“The Premiership fixture between AmaZulu Football Club and Marumo Gallants Football Club, which was abandoned on Wednesday, 03 November 2021 has been rescheduled to Thursday, 04 November 2021 at King Zwelithini Stadium and will kick-off at 15h30.
“The Premier Soccer League (PSL) is awaiting the match commissioner’s report which will be referred to the League’s Prosecutor.
“The League wishes to apologise to our Broadcast partner, SuperSport (who have agreed to broadcast the match), our sponsor DStv and football fans for this unfortunate incident.
“The Premiership fixture between AmaZulu FC and Cape Town City, which was scheduled for Saturday, 06 November 2021 will now be played on Sunday, 07 November 2021 (same venue and kick-off time) while the fixture details for the Marumo Gallants and Mamelodi Sundowns match on Sunday, 07 November 2021 will remain the same.”
Over in the Mother City, Eric Tinkler's Cape Town City beat Chippa United 1-0.
While at Loftus Versfeld, the champions, Mamelodi Sundowns, opened a four-point cushion at the top of the log with a 1-0 win over Maritzburg United.
The biggest match of this weekend’s game will be on Saturday afternoon with the Amakhosi hosting the Buccaneers in the Soweto derby.
