-TBB- F1 fans VOTE for South Africa to be included in the F1 calendar | News Article

You can help SA to be included in the F1 Calendar!

"The big Formula 1 news this week was of course the confirmation of Liberty Media's takeover of the world's most lucrative motorsport series.

Former F1 supremo Bernie Ecclestone was forced to leave with his tail between his legs as the new owners try and breathe new life into an ageing, expensive sport.

New commander in chief Chase Carey has mentioned the possibility of new Grand Prixs in the United States and the United Kingdom. But what about a race in South Africa?

We know Kyalami race track only has a Grade 2 licence, which means the circuit can host any international race series, except for Formula 1.

According to Kyalami, if changes are made to the track's current run-off areas it would be to accommodate the high speeds F1 cars generate. This would grant the facility a Grade 1 licence.

British broadcaster, Sky Sports, has set up a poll asking fans to pick their dream GP, at the time of writing, SA is in fifth place.  Get voting! and show your support."
