El Nino Climate Risk Presentation
The country is bracing for an intense El Nino, with a warning of an 80% likelihood of a "super"-event establishing itself through late 2026 into early 2027. This pattern brings a significant risk to farmers. To help farmers better understand the potential risks and prepare accordingly, Dihlabeng Local Municipality, in partnership with the South African Weather Services (SAWS), invites all farmers to attend an informative presentation on the expected El Nino conditions and their potential impact on agriculture.
