Seven killed in two Klerksdorp-accidents─── 08:10 Sun, 30 Sep 2012
Klerksdorp - Seven people were killed in two separate accidents in and around Klerksdorp in North West last night.
Netcare 911 spokesperon Chris Botha says in the biggest one, six people died when two vehicles collided head-on on the R503 near Klerksdorp.
Botha says the crash occurred about 20km outside of town.
One of the cars with five occupants burst into flames on impact, while the other wreckage was found a few meters away with the female driver still trapped in the vehicle.
All occupants of both vehicles were later declared dead at the scene.
In the second accident, a man died after his motorcycle went off the road and struck a tree in Klerksdorp.
Botha says the accident took place along the Four Shafts road shortly after 8pm.
The man was in his thirties. Both accidents are being investigated by police.
