Winburg - The Masilonyana Municipality says it is hopeful Winburg's water supply problems will now be a thing of the past.
The Free State farming town has been without water since Sunday last week and suffers annual dry weather water supply problems.
Municipal spokesperson Zongezile Ntjwabula says they have just completed a borehole project to augment the town’s water supply.
He says this should alleviate some of the raw water supply problems that have previously plagued Winburg.
Meanwhile the current water crisis which has left residents without water since last week Sunday appears to have been resolved.

Ntjwabule says broken pumps and machines have been repaired and were switched on at the weekend.
He says they are still dealing with a backlog but hope to be at 100% water supply capacity by tomorrow.
For now residents who do have water are being urged to use it sparingly.
Ntjwabule says the municipality will continue providing temporary water in areas such as Masakeng, Pahameng, and other parts of town until supply is fully restored.
