FET College Student Placement Project launched at Sasolburg soon─── 18:26 Thu, 27 Mar 2014

Bloemfontein - Higher Education and Training Minister, Blade Nzimande and Free State Premier, Ace Magashule, will launch the FET College Student Placement Project on Tuesday at the Flavius Mareka FET College in Sasolburg.
Provincial Chairperson for the Student Support Forum for FET colleges, Phaello Zonki, says since 2011 about 1 800 students on level six at the province’s four FET colleges have been placed at various institutions for hands on practical experience.
Zonki says students are placed after completing their 18 month theoretical studies in order to graduate.
The project was initiated by the Higher Education Department and will be rolled out in all provinces. In the Free State various governmental stakeholders as well as the private sector are involved.
