Bloemfontein - Free State Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs MEC Olly Mlamleli handed over six cars to the executive committee members of the House of Traditional Leaders in the province.
This followed after she promised, in her budget speech, to buy the vehicles.
At the time of her speech earlier this year, opposition parties criticised her announcement, saying the provincial government is already having cash flow problems and buying luxury cars should not be on the to-do-list.
Mlamleli said in an interview with OFM News that cars are part of their tools of trade.
