Bloemfontein - The head of the geology department at the University of the Free State (UFS) says he will resign if a student, who took part in recent violent campus protests, is allowed to register.
Frederick Roelofse allegedly told third-year geology student, Tebogo Ntshaling he would not allow him to register, adding that he wanted him prosecuted for his role in the recent violent protests at the university's Bloemfontein campus.
OFM News obtained a recording of the alleged exchange between the pair, in which Ntshaling asks Roelofse why he ordered campus security to remove him from campus last week Monday.
University spokesperson, Lacea Loader, said the incident is under urgent investigation. Attempts to contact Roelofse failed.
