Winburg - Five people have been killed and five injured in a collision between two trucks and a vehicle on the N1 at Winburg in the Free State.
According to ER24 spokesperson Pieter Rossouw, details are still sketchy, but their dispatch teams confirmed the deaths.
The five injured people have been transported to hospital.
Rossouw says the cause of the accident is not known at this stage.
Traffic in all four lanes of the highway was affected by the accident.
