Simba Mhere crash driver goes on trial─── 08:23 Thu, 29 Oct 2015
Randburg - The trial of a man alleged to have been behind the accident that led to the death of Top Billing presenter, Simba Mhere, and his best friend is expected to start in the Randburg Magistrate's Court today.
Preshalin Naidoo has been charged with culpable homicide and reckless and negligent driving.
Mhere and Kady-Shay O’Bryan died on the scene of the accident on William Nicol Drive in Fourways during the early hours of January 31 last year. Mhere's father, Joseph, who was also in the car, survived the incident.
Simba, who was 31 years old, rose to fame after winning a Top Billing talent search competition in 2010.
The matter has been set down for a two-day trial.
