The annual 1st to 3rd-year student exhibition is on at the Johannes Stegmann Gallery at the UFS Bloemfontein campus titled Root/Route. Student Mikayla Swartz joins Mid-Morning Magic's Yolanda Maartens to explain the curation process.
The annual 1st to 3rd-year artworks student exhibition is on at the Johannes Stegmann Gallery at the UFS Bloemfontein campus. It showcases works that were produced by fine art students in 2022 within the theme Root/Route. Student Mikayla Swartz joins Mid-Morning Magic’s Yolanda Maartens to talk about the experience gained through the opportunity to curate the students’ works and what visitors can expect.
The Johannes Stegmann Gallery is located at the UFS Sasol Library Building and holds 150 pieces of art from various South African artists. It has, for the past three decades, hosted numerous national and international art exhibitions, student exhibitions, and social justice programmes.
