Nianell’s raw story-telling in book takes fans behind the fame | News Article

We know Nianell as an angel-voiced superstar, but behind the platinum albums and bright lights, she has been walking a path of profound quiet dismantling.

She joins Yolanda Maartens in the OFM Art Beat, not to sing the songs we all know and love but to talk about the songs she has discovered in her silence. In her new book she shares a raw, multi-sensory journey through fame, heartbreak, and spiritual awakening.

From sharing stages with global icons like Andrea Bocelli to navigating profound personal loss, Nianell’s latest teaching memoir, A Song That’s Yet Unsung – When Nothing is Known, Anything is Possible, offers a deeply moving journey of transformation and self-discovery.

Blending storytelling with 30 original songs, the book creates a unique, multi-sensory experience where readers can engage with each chapter through music via embedded QR codes. At its core, the memoir traces Nianell’s path from international success, including her well-known hit Who Painted the Moon?, to a period of intense personal upheaval marked by loss, divorce, and spiritual questioning.

As her life unravels, Nianell confronts the limitations of identity and certainty, arriving at a powerful realization: true freedom lies beyond what we think we know. The book explores themes of surrender, reinvention, and choosing love over fear, encouraging readers to move beyond intellectual understanding and into lived experience.

More than just a memoir, A Song That’s Yet Unsung, serves as an invitation to embrace uncertainty, reconnect with inner truth, and discover the limitless potential that emerges when we let go of control and allow life to unfold.
