Letsopa residents not happy with water cuts─── 10:30 Sun, 01 Mar 2020

Announced water cuts continue to frustrate residents of Letsopa near Ottosdal in the North West.
This as residents claim that they have to travel far to fetch water.
The area where residents have been accessing water from is also experiencing water problems due to pipe maintenance by the water project.
At the moment, residents access water at a local church in Extension 2, which is far for people who stay in Turfloop informal settlement, Extension 5 and Dipeng.
Furthermore, two weeks ago residents were complaining that the water smell of sewage.
A resident known to OFM News said he vomited after drinking the water.
The water project liaison officer, Kamogelo Henneck, said they are replacing the old pipes to ensure stable supply to the entire township.
Meanwhile, residents of Ward 12 expressed their disappointment with the ward's councillor, Sam Letlakane, during a community meeting where he addressed water issues.
